Dough roller rubbing against the bowl

Hi! I’ve just bought an Ankarsrum Assistant, and when I tested the dough roller, I noticed that the roller was rubbing against the stainless steel bowl. This made me worry about possible plastic contamination. There seems to be almost no space under the roller. I tried sliding a piece of paper underneath it in different positions, near the edge and in the middle of the bowl, but it wouldn’t go through. 🫨 Is it normal for the dough roller to sit so tightly on the bowl? Is there any way to adjust the height of the arm or the pin? 🤔

  • The roller is meant to rest on the bottom of the bowl. Sometimes there can be wear to the bottom of the roller if a very coarse salt is used. Make sure your salt completely dissolves in your liquid before proceeding with your recipe or add in with your flour.
