I noticed that the roller is a slight fraction to high running around the rim.

I noticed that the roller isn't perfectly set running around the rim can the arm that holds the riller be lowered or raised . I see there is a screw at the back of ot close to the screw you turn to set the scraper. wondering if thats to move lower the arm or is it just there to hold the arm in place

  • Hi Sharon,

The simple answer to your question is, No, the arm height can not be adjusted. The roller is meant to be able to move slightly up and down on the pin. This helps when kneading dough. Also, the roller is only meant to completely rest against the rim of the bowl at a low-medium speed. As you increase the speed of the Ankarsrum, you should adjust the roller away from the rim so that the rubber wheel is not in contact with the rim of the bowl.

  • I know that there will be a time of learning with my new mixer. I use it today for the first time to make the same bread i have been making for years now.
The arm was slamming and  the dough roller was going up and down pretty hard and loud. I'm not sure if I need to crease the hydration. In order to use the mixer properly or what's going on?Do you have any advice

  • Hi Rachel,

It is normal for the roller to be lifted by the dough. Our suggestion would actually be to adjust the arm slightly further away from the side of the bowl. The should reduce the slamming by the arm. Otherwise your dough looks great!
